Top 5 Independent Movies

I am a big fan of Independent Movies, apart anything Spike Lee has made this is a list of my top 5 and favourite independent movies. most of them are twisted and dark but shit! it's real life and whether we like it or not people go through these things. If you haven't seen these yet I recommend you watch them because this shit here could change your life.
5. KIDS
The movie features Rosario DawsonLeo Fitzpatrick, Justin Pierce and Chloë Sevigny. Directed and written by Larry Clark and it is about An amoral, HIV-positive skateboarder sets out to deflower as many virgins as possible while a local girl who contracted his disease tries to save his next target from her same fate. here is clip from the movie.

4. Ken Park
Written and directed by Larry Clark, It's about several Californian skateboarder's life and relationships with and without their parents. featuring Adam Chubbuck, James Bullard and Seth Gray . Probably one of the sickest movies I have seen, sick like yuk sick but this shit here is real.

3. Enter The Void
Directed by Gaspar Noe, and it is about a drug-dealing teen is killed in Japan, after which he reappears as a ghost to watch over his sister. featuring Nathaniel Brown, Paz de la Huerta and Cyril Roy, some trippy shit man. Smoke a blunt before viewing.lol!

2. Fix
I am a big fan of this movie, as you have noticed the title of the blog is inspired by this movie, cause thats how I feel about music. Directed by Tao Ruspoli and it is about FIX takes you from Beverly Hills to Watts, and places in between, in one day, as documentary filmmakers Bella and Milo race to get Milo's brother Leo from jail to rehab before 8pm, or Leo goes to prison for three years. Inspired by true events, we follow the trio as they document their trip from a suburban police station in Calabasas through mansions in Beverly Hills, East LA chop-shops, rural wastelands, and housing projects in Watts as they attempt to raise the $5,000 required to get Leo into the rehab clinic. Along the way the audience meets dozens of colorful characters, each with their own anomalous perspective on Leo's larger than life personality and style, and each with their own excuse for why they cannot help out. In the end, it may take a drug deal to get the necessary funds for rehab. It features Shawn Andrews, Olivia Wilde and Megalyn Echikunwoke .

1. Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child.
This documentaty has inspired me most, Directed by Tamra Davis and features Jean Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel and Larry Gagosian and it's Director Tamra Davis paying homage to her friend in this definitive documentary but also delves into Basquiat as an iconoclast. His dense, bebop-influenced neoexpressionist work emerged while minimalist, conceptual art was the fad; as a successful black artist, he was constantly confronted by racism and misconceptions. Much can be gleaned from insider interviews and archival footage, but it is Basquiat's own words and work that powerfully convey the mystique and allure of both the artist and the man. Written bySundance Film Festival
