Tim Shaw:Twenty More Fish (Free download)
My main intention for this album was to create beat based music which could incorporate and work alongside a-rhythmical elements, gesture and morphology. After studying and composing electro acoustic music I found inspiration in its construction and form. As well as using samples and synthesizers, I built up my own unique library of sounds from sources I would not of considered before. This portfolio contains an eclectic array of sounds which include a 16th century watermill, the ambience of a moving train carriage and me breaking a basket. I see the concept of this album as a collection of pieces that morph and overlap into each other in conventional and unconventional ways - Tim Shaw
